Help on setting up for ebay?

Can anyone explain or give information on how to set up and get started selling on ebay? I would appreciate any information about this.I have many years of antiques that I am ready to part with, and I don't want to take them to an auction, 35 percent, plus all advertisement, and pay for the auctionaires helpers.
