What did people think of WWE's choices to crown King of the Ring winners especially this years?

I thought WWE King of the Ring was a great way to push a mid-card performer into main event status by winning the King of the Ring tournament. However, Sheamus is already a main event performer having won the WWE championship twice. Over the years there were a lot of wrestlers who were mid level performers who got pushed into main even status from winning this tournament. Some stayed at a main event level and some didnt and went back down to mid-card level. Savage, Bret, Steve Austin, Triple H, Edge, Angle and Lesnar all won it on the way to becoming major main event stars. Guys like Tito, Mabel, Gunn, Shamrock, Muraco, Owen and Regal all got significant pushes from winning this crown but were unable to carry a main-event status. Guys like Race, Dibiase, Bret (2nd crown), Booker T and Sheamus were already main event stars before winning the crown. Sometimes I feel they have chosen wrong when they gave it to wrestlers who either couldnt carry the main event status or were already main event status when they could have gave it to other rising potential stars in the tournament like Steamboat 85, Spivey 86, Michaels 88, Martel 89, Perfect 93, Razor 94, Adam Bomb 95, The Rock 98, Jarrett 99, Lashley 06, CM Punk 08, Morrison, Truth, Kofi, McIntyre, Bryan 10. What do people think of WWE's choices to crown the new King?
