An unbelievably sad story about false allegations of child abuse....?

We always try to protect those who cannot protect themselves, and that is why we do our very best to protect children from predators. There are so many children who are physically, ually and emotionally abused, that it is hard to protect them all. That is why it angers so many people when you have a parent making a false accusation against someone for child abuse. This is not only reprehensible, but it takes away from the child who is really being abused. People file false charges mainly for money, or you may see child abuse accusations during a divorce. One parent may want custody so they charge the other with child abuse. They somehow convince the child that they were touch inappropriately, and the accusation is made. We spend time, money and resources checking into these charges because above all else we want to protect that child. The accused is stripped bare, every facet of his or her life is looked into. They may lose friends, family members, and jobs. Even when they are cleared, people will always wonder if there was some measure of truth to the accusation. Their life as they knew it is now over, and this accusation will forever hang over their head. The accuser should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, because in my opinion they have harmed two lives, the accused and the child.
